Bishop of Norwich invites all to church this Easter

The Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Revd Graham Usher, is inviting everyone to join in the celebration at church this Easter.

Bishop Graham said: “I want to invite you to a church near you this Easter and be caught up in the joy of this season.

As we draw closer to the third Easter of the pandemic, I’m hugely grateful to all the key workers and volunteers for all that they continue to do in the face of many challenges and many anxieties.

“There is so much to be thankful for, not least the vaccines which have reduced our fears and enabled us to return to a happier pattern of life, and the beauty that we see around us as winter turns to spring.
Over the course of the pandemic, we have learnt that being together is vitally important, both gathered in a building, as well as gathered online. We gather with Jesus and are sent out by him to be bearers of his peace amidst the tragedies of our world.

“Easter is a time to join in the celebration of the Resurrection; to return, reunite, rejoice. I would like to personally invite you to join in with what is happening at your local church this Easter. You can find details of your local church at www.achurchnearyou.com

Churches across the Diocese of Norwich are holding a variety of Holy Week and Easter services, from Palm Sunday services with donkeys making an appearance, to the solemnity of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, to the celebration of Easter Day. There are also egg hunts and Easter trails.
