Norwich to hear pastor, Policeman and tramp tale
Essex Baptist Pastor Dave McDowell has been a Policeman, fed orphans in India and lived under a boat as a tramp. You can hear his remarkable story at the April dinner of Norwich FGB on April 27.
Dave had a secure job as a policeman, a happy marriage, and a future. But after responding to the gospel, found himself divorced, jobless, and living as a tramp under an upturned boat on Southend beach. Then it got worse!
But after three failed suicide attempts, and a visit to an old friend, life again started to change for the better. A whole lot better.
Norwich branch president Barrie Lawrence said: “Dave is an engaging speaker, and not without humour. His story is remarkable, unique, and authentic. He is a fulfilled man who uses every opportunity to help others, both in the UK and India, and share the good news of Jesus. Come and hear his story.”
The dinner is on Wednesday April 27, at the City Suite, Mercure Hotel, Boundary Road, NR3 2BA. 7pm for 7.30pm. £16 per person, to include a two-course dinner.
