Norfolk Christian football team in National Cup
A men's team in the Norfolk Christian Football League are competing in the National Christian Cup, with the next match in Norwich on February 21.
The competition is open to any Christian-based teams in the UK and is a chance to play against teams from across the UK, meet other church teams and progress through the knock-out tournament to win the cup.
Norwich Central Baptist Church (NCBC) won their first match in the cup in December against Boro Lane in Bromley and have drawn another home game for the next round.
They will play a team from Lewisham on Saturday February 21 at Recreation Road Sports Centre, Norwich, Norfolk NR2 3JA. Kick-off is at 1.30pm and supporters are very welcome.
Chris Morgan is team manager for NCBC. He said, “We are looking forward to playing some new teams and challenging ourselves. We will see how far we can go!”
