Community Mission target for Norfolk churches

Norwich-based Relational Mission, made up of Christian-based churches, has launched its 20/20 mission initiative to reach 20 more places across Norfolk and north Suffolk over the next 20 years.

The 20/20 initiative might include starting new churches or satellite congregations or sites connected to existing ones to develop toddler groups, support groups, community venues as well as spread the message of Jesus Christ.

A gathering of the members of Relational Mission (RM) churches from across Norfolk and Suffolk recently launched a renewed drive to move into areas where New Testament church life could be established - twenty more places over the next twenty years across the two counties.

The move is part of the organisation’s vision for multiplication and growth across the UK, Europe and the wider global stage. Glynnis Wylie, from RM, said “The day was faith-inspiring, momentum-increasing and strength-building: it’s a glorious thing we’re about, whether taking ground or embedding existing churches.”

Other churches involved in the project include Wellspring Family Church in Dereham, Kingsgate in Great Yarmouth, Life Church in Sheringham, King's Community Church in Norwich, Gateway Church in Kings Lynn and New Life Church in North Walsham.

Relational Mission, is based at Jubilee Family Centre, Norwich Road, Aylsham, Norfolk, UK, NR11 6JG
