TakingBacktheNight750Christians gather at Norwich Cathedral on Halloween

Burn 24/7 Norwich is encouraging Christians to spend Halloween ‘Taking Back the Night’ on Wednesday, October 31 with an evening of extended worship in Norwich Cathedral and outreach on the city’s streets.

On the night of Halloween, Wednesday, October 31, Burn 24/7 Norwich is hosting an evening of worship and outreach at Norwich Cathedral.

Deborah Goldstone of Burn 24/7 Norwich said: “Taking Back the Night is a significant event for Christians to not shy away from Halloween but to be seen and heard. We know that when we worship it changes the atmosphere therefore it is very appropriate evening to gather together and worship the King of Kings.

“There will be no preach or ministry, it is a night just to focus on Jesus and glorify His name over the city and the county."

Starting at 7pm, Christians from many denominations will gather together for a time of praise and worship until 9pm.  As an overflow of worship, groups will be sent out onto the streets to simply show love and bring light to others that are celebrating Halloween.

Worship will continue at The House of Prayer in Fishergate from 9pm and groups will meet back and share any testimonies before finishing at 10.30pm

Deborah said: “During this event last year over 50 people were sent out onto the streets of Norwich. There were countless testimonies of people being healed, being given divine words of knowledge and coming to know Jesus”.

Burn 24/7 Norwich holds monthly gatherings of continual worship lasting 6-24 hours.
