Change of pastor at Sheringham church

Lighthouse front 400CF2015: The Leadership of Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham have announced that senior pastor Rev Bryan Pickard will retire in February 2016, and with a new senior pastor taking the helm from the beginning of January. Tony Rothe reports.

Bryan and his wife Lynne moved to Sheringham in February 2010. He was Pastor of Sheringham Baptist Church, and led the church through a time of great progress, including the development of a brand new church centre, and a re-launch as Lighthouse Community Church.

Bryan is currently on mission in Uganda – read the story here.
Network Norfolk will be catching up with him on his return for his reflections on the last five years in Sheringham.

The new senior pastor at Lighthouse will be Rev Ian Savory, who is currently senior pastor at Kingsgate Community Church in Great Yarmouth. Ian and his wife Sue will be leaving Kingsgate at the end of November and take up his new role at Lighthouse from January 1 next year.

Bryan and Ian will work together during January to ensure a smooth changeover at Sheringham.

The leadership team of Kingsgate Community Church and Relational Mission Apostolic Team will now be seeking God for a new leader, and would appreciate prayers for this.
